The Agreements That Run Your Life by Samy Bishay, book cover

The Book

Stop restarting. Start becoming.

The Agreements That Run Your Life: How an Unproven Allegation Becomes an Identity Verdict, and How to Reopen the Case

A raw, honest story of rebuilding a body, mind, and identity, from nearly 345 pounds to a different life at sea.

This is not a diet book. It is the story of what happened when I stopped trying to force change from the outside and started confronting the identity underneath the patterns.

If you are tired of promises, restarts, and feeling like you should know better by now, this book will help you look at the story you have been living, and question whether it still has to be true.

Available on Amazon.

Why I wrote it

Because the weight was never the real problem.

Every plan I tried worked for a while. None of them touched the agreements I had made with myself about what I was capable of, what I deserved, and who I would always be.

I wrote this book for adults who are done being managed by those agreements. It walks through how to name the conclusions you made about yourself, test whether they are actually true, and then deliberately build a different reality.
